Connex Wild Ride

PORTSMOUTH CONNEX WILD RIDE
Portsmouth Connex is proud to introduce the first annual Shawnee Forest WILD Ride. The Shawnee State Forest is the largest state park in Ohio with more than 60,000 acres and is often referred to as the “The Little Smokies of Ohio”. The WILD Ride is a road roll and will launch from the Shawnee Lodge parking lot between 8am and 10am on Saturday June 19th. The cyclist may choose from three route options: the Bear Cub—a 16.5 mile/900 feet elevation out and back route meant to challenge beginner riders; the Bobcat—a 30 mile/2045 feet elevation intermediate route for more experience riders; and the Rattler Roll—a 56 mile/3750 feet elevation advanced route full of challenging hills and twisting downhill turns. For a more detailed look check out our routes link below. Aid stations will be provided along all three courses. A registration fee of $25/rider is required in advance no later than 8pm on Sunday June 13th. The Wild Ride is not a race. All Wild Ride finishers will celebrate with music and local favorites including a pub glass commemorating the ride containing a voucher that entitles participants to a drink of choice from the Portsmouth Brewing Company located at 224 2nd Street Portsmouth, Ohio. The Portsmouth Brewing Company is a longtime local microbrewery offering a variety of homemade brews on tap. Participants are asked to wear masks and maintain social distancing at start, finish, and aid stations. Riders are asked to ride within small groups and should not draft with others outside of his/her family units.
